 The Main Points

First the main points of the videos

The first three videos cover the closed curve tool, the select object tool the stitches and how to choose them, how to change them

Good working practise such as saving your designs when to, where to and what to, so you always have your original design

Opening a design, duplicate, rotate, size by the different methods, combine and simple lettering, changing letters, change colours, choosing a background fabric

At the end of these videos you have made a nice Monogram,And can now make some not so simple designs, and this list is by no means exhaustive

Next six videos cover the magic wand changing the angle using the multiple angle tool, changing fills and removing overlay stitches, setting the colours.

Ever wondered why your bitmap is not giving you the effects you want why the magic tool isn't working here are the answers

More on the open curve tool, when to dim the picture, hide it, more on choosing colours and using them, how to access a part that is now covered by stitches, good tip this one, and much more

Using the last design that you made Loes now takes you through perfecting the design, she covers the reshape tool, object properties, fill stitches fancy fill etc. And once again I learnt another logical thing to do to get access to parts of the design, but had never thought of,so as I said before these videos are still in the basics and I have learnt so much.

Now some fun with the tools, outline, circle and rectangle tools, manipulating the designs you make with these tools, the fancy patterns and how to perfect them and all the time Loes lovely voice so placid and encouraging ,urging you on .

And now back to the design using the Ark bitmap watch this one if you want to know how to best outline your design, and then watch it again as it contains a lot of info

Summery

The above doesn't do justice to these videos but to summarise.

These videos contain basic BUT very useful information, good grounding in the use of the software, when I use the word basic I mean the foundation on which your going to build, this doesn't mean simple because some of the information is not found in the manual she has better ways to do things and this goes through all of the videos, the outline I have given you may sound simple but some of the lessons although BASIC contain what some would consider advanced techniques,I like the way Loes has done this, why learn to do something one way which gives, well, okay results then have to relearn another giving wonderful results why not learn those lessons from the start because advanced doesn't mean difficult
